Owner of Atlanta NAP and NetDepot colocation provider, Global Net Access, LLC (GNAX), has formed the new DallasNAP facility, to provide managed colocation in the Dallas market and facilities for its NetDepot line of dedicated servers.
The company is currently a leading provider of co-location in the Southeast U.S. and one of the leading providers of outsourced managed and unmanaged servers in the world. NetDepot will soon offer servers in the Dallas market co-located in the DallasNAP to complement its current Atlanta location and to fill current customer demand.
Jeff Hinkle, President of GNAX remarked, ''We have been offering dedicated servers longer than most companies in the market and have focused on sustained financially healthy growth. We are proud to announce that we will continue this expansion with that in mind. This market represents the center of the dedicated market and we believe we will fill a need for cost-effective high quality solutions that have gone by the wayside. Most of the other providers in the market have had to raise prices to attempt to reach profitability after years of unhealthy growth.''
Mr. Hinkle added, ''We are coming to Dallas as a very healthy entity and intend on shaking things up in the market, which will be of great benefit to the customers who have seen prices increase in the past year. Other providers have gotten wind of the impending launch and appear to be rushing to lock in customers on long-term contracts. This would be foolish for customers at this point, given the pricing pressure that will be forth-coming to the Dallas market.''
General availability is expected on February 15, 2009 and expect to see some exciting deals to celebrate the launch of the new location.
The new market will include the newest NetDepot servers and all features, including a state-of-the-art portal and back end network, high capacity network based on Cisco Systems gear, Toplayer IPS and DDoS protection and some surprises that will be announced on launch day on the www.netdepot.com site. The location of the new DallasNAP co-location is 8435 Stemmons in partnership with TELX. Network connectivity will initially include 20 gigs of connectivity to providers, including Level3. It will terminate on diverse fiber paths to the Infomart on Stemmons and also to 2323 Bryan at TELX. This diverse connectivity will put the NetDepot / DallasNAP location ahead of much of the competition that still relies on single building locations for network termination.
As part of the expansion, GNAX will geographically diversify its DNS clusters. Mr. Hinkle said that a third location in the US will be announced in the 2nd half of 2009 and this year looks to be the most exciting in the company.
